When exploring critical issues or concerns about life and death, I often ask people what they would do if I had a magic wand. The power of the magic wand is in the invitation it creates for people to speak freely and the amplification it conjures, so we, the caregivers and loved ones, can hear and act on what matters most to the individual. This isn't just about the end of life. This conversation informs a whole life.
